Monastery Hincu

The history of this monastery is surrounded by many legends and mysteries. In these troubled times - the late seventeenth century - Moldova was constantly exposed to the Tatar invasions. The future founder of the Monastery Hincu - Mihalcea Hancu then lived with her daughter around town Lapusna Ileana. And although he was always known by their courage and bravery, the day came when the forces were unequal: the enemy advancing from all sides, and no one could not escape.

Then Mihalcea Hîncu takes only right decision - to run. So father and daughter have started the hard way. It seemed that the enemy army will have no end, and his forces were already running Hâncu. They saw that the banks of a river rescue and decided to rest a bit on its bank. On that day, Land owner has promised that if he remains alive, will build a church in this place.

Mihailcea Hincu has kept the promise, and here, in the 17th century was built a wooden church and monastic hermitages. Michael Hincu daughter, wife, made a vow to the monastery and became a nun. He saw a lot of weight in his monastery of St. Paraskeva. Infinite Tatar invasion scare the homeless, and so the monastery remained uninhabited for a long time. In 1835 a stone church was built in Russian-Byzantine style, was built in 1841 and an altar of winter. After going through all hardships and difficulties monastery still stood, symbolizing the sacredness of the Orthodox Faith. But in 1956 he was again closed by Soviet authorities.

By 1990, the holy land of the monastery was located sanatorium Ministry of Health. Now Hancu is one of the most visited historical monuments of the Moldovan people, and an important monastery in Moldova. Around the monastery runs a series of springs, water, after the locals, has healing properties. Now, the monastery has a small water bottling plant in plastic bottles. This water can be purchased in stores in Chisinau.

Source has a small pool, where parishioners can immerse themselves in festivals and purify the soul from evil spirits. Monastery Capriana

Capriana monastery was founded in 1429 by the head of R. Moldova, Alexandru cel Bun (1400-1432). Three splendid churches: St. Mary church was built in 1545, St. George church built in 1903, Saint Nicholas church house built in 1840 and monks. A picturesque place that lies at the foot.

Monastery Curchi

Monastery of monks Curchi is located at a distance of 12 km of town Orhei, is placed on Vatic River bank, between rich hills covered with secular forests, with gardens and orchards.
The monastery is a real gem, offering silence and peace, it is included in the list of national patrimony of major tourist value.
The monarchal assembly from Curchi is dated in 1765. The yard and the monastery buildings are placed on two terraces, surrounded by stone walls with towers at the corners. The monarchal assembly was restored several times, today includes the churches Sfântul Dumitru built in 1773.

At monastery Curchi, the tourists will be deeply impressed by the architectural beauty of the complex, the uniqueness of the landscape, the monarchal life style and old -century tradition of cuisine. Nearby you can find an apiary, lakes full of fish, territories where grow up medicinal plant.

Monastery Saharna

Monastery Saharna is one of the oldest monastic settlements from the Ortodox Church content from Republic of Moldova. The monastic assembly consists of two monasteries: a cave one – Bunavestire and a terrestrial one – Sfânta Treime.

Currently the religious services are committed twice a day, in the morning and in the evening, in Romanian and Russian languages, as well in Greek on important holidays.
